Beryllium Copper

Copper is the most reliable metal to use in EMI Shielding because it is highly effective in attenuating magnetic and electrical waves.


The TBAPS's range of Beryllum Copper shielding gaskets provide high grade Electro Magnetic Interference protection, whilst providing superior mechanical spring characteristics for strength and fatigue resistance, plus excellent conductivity. They are ideally suited for applications where a high level of repeat access is required.


Our range offers the most complete line of standard BeCu shielding strips in the industry. Uncompressed heights of standard finger stock range from 0.76mm to 11.2mm, which will occupy gaps as low as 0.25mm. A line of standard connector gaskets are also available.


We are also able to supply Custom or semi-standard shielding for special applications, such as board level shielding and connector gaskets.

Fabric over Foam

Fabric over Foam EMI Gaskets, are manufactured by forming a metallised fabric (conductive) over a foam core . The foam core is usually manufactured from urethane which gives very low compression, and offers excellent  EMI shielding properties. This type of EMI Shielding gasket has very good wear properties, is resistant to abrasion (due to the metallised outer fabric), is very lightweight and cuts smoothly, for ease of installation.


Used for a variety of applications, where grounding and low compression are a requirement, such as indoor electronic housings, cabinet doors, grounding contacts etc.

Shielding Fabrics

TBAPS produce and supply Fabrics in both woven and non woven types, for EMI Shielding purposes. these fabrics are suitable, not just for Industrial and Personal use, but are also suitable for use in Military applications.

These fabrics can also be coated, to provide good thermal properties alongside the Shielding.

EMI Cushions

These LCD foam Cushions are a highly conductive barrier.


They provide ESD Shielding so will dissipate an electrical charge safely. They also act as an EMI Shield, therefore protecting products/circuits from harmful electro-magnetic radiation or signals, during manufacture, assembly or repair.



Available in a variety of fabrics, finishes and thicknesses.


Designed for supporting LCD's in monitors, mobile phones, sat nav's etc.


Loaded Rubbers

Loaded Rubber Gaskets provide good environmental and EMI sealing and offer low contact resistance.


A combination of nano technology additives and intimate contact, provides lower contact resistance and superior environmental sealing.


The TBAPS form in place RTV or MS silicone gaskets offer excellent environmental and EMC sealing.

EMI Vents

EMI Shielding Vents and Windows are manufactured in standard configurations, but we are able to customise to your own configurations., if required.


The benefits include EMI Shielding with no degradation on fan output,  and allows ventilation without compromising the shielding integrity of the enclosure.



Ideal for use where maximum airflow is required, whilst maintaining EMC compliance.

EMI Filters

EMI or Electo-Magnetic Interference, is defined as unwanted electrical signals and can be in the form of conducted or radiated emissions.


Most electronics contain an EMI Filter, either as a separate device, or embedded in circuit boards. Its function is to reduce high frequency electronic noise that may cause interference with other devices.


TBAPS offer:

  • Single and Three phase filters

EMI Shielding Tapes

EMI Shielding Tapes are a quick and easy fix for static grounding and EMI/RFI shielding for various components and applications.  They offer superior abrasion characteristics and are corrosion resistant.

 

The tapes are available in:

  • Metal foil and conductive fabric tapes
  • With Conductive or Standard adhesive
  • Various widths
  • High Temperature masking versions


Some common applications are:

Shielding of doors, panels and seams in electrical enclosures

Shielding of seams in faraday cages or shielding rooms/labs

Shielding on or around Electrical Components and cables

Shielding around plastic housings and keyboards

Knitted Gaskets

Knitted gaskets offer high performance in EMI and Environmental sealing.


The TBAPS knitted gaskets are manufactured using Monel wire as the mesh, over either a Neoprene sponge core or Silicone tube core.


These gaskets offer high wear, and are corrosion and abrasive resistant.


Usual applications are:


  • Door Sealing, for example communication cabinets
  • Enclosure panels
  • Conductive window and vent mounting

Thermally Conductive Interface

Heat and electronics do not mix, and therefore a Thermally Conductive Interface is required., especially when the surface is not entirely flat and thus creates an air gap. The interface is usually supplied as a pre-formed piece of solid material, which is placed on the underside of the heatsink to aid the conduction of heat away from the component  or chip.


Thermal Interface Pads improve the thermal connection with heatsinks.
